Aidan seems to be taking the Chemo exceptionally well. So far, no vomiting and he still has all of his hair :-) On Saturday he received another unit of blood and had LOTS of vistors. Yeah!!!! If you read the comments, you will see what a fan club Aidan has. After Corey & Bryson talked to Aidan, we can see that he still has his great sense of humor.
So everybody wants to know what to do to help. First of all, Aidan can use donations of chocolate PediaSure and individually packaged chocolate pudding. Depending on when he gets out, we will know more of the family needs. Continue to leave messages & send pictures/letters.

Hi Aidan,
Do you believe in Santa Claus? I do.
I didn’t know it until today. Today as I was looking at my Santa collection, I started thinking about why I like Santa’s so much. After all, who is Santa anyway? And what does he really have to do with Christmas?
So back to my collection…. I have some really cute ones. One is going fishing, another sledding. But mostly they are just standing there, with their long white hair and beards, and definitely pot bellies. Some are made from carved wood, a couple of ceramic ones stand there rigidly. Some are floppy and fall over. Most are dressed in velvet, but the Fisher Santa has on a plaid shirt with a floppy fishing hat and matching vest. One looks like my father – he has a large hook Italian nose – like my dad did, so I call him my Daddy Claus. Can you pick them out of the picture?
And then, I realized. It’s not who Santa is, it’s not how he’s dressed, or where he is going, it’s what he stands for. When we believe in Santa, we believe in Miracles, we have Hope. And believing is all we need to do.
Hi Again Aidan,
sorry I couldn't paste the picture, or figure out how to do it. So I will send it to your Nana and she can show you.
Love, diana

Hello Aidan from Adam, Anna and me (grandma Nancy). You remember Adam and Anna from Pickens, SC. They want you to get well very soon. Both of them have had illnesses that required a lot of medical care. They understand a little how you feel. Adam wants to know if you still like Star Wars as much as him. He wants you to get well and come to my place where you can spend the night, play Star Wars games, go walking downtown to the fountains and river then get ice cream. We are all looking forward that!
Hi, Aidan!
Auntie Jo and I have heard that you are not feeling well. We are praying every day that you get well quickly. We have also told all your Atlanta cousins, and they are thinking about you and praying for you to get better so that you can come back for another visit.
Before you know it, Christmas will be here. Santa will be leaving lots of goodies under your tree and you deserve every one of them.
Auntie Jo and I want to give you a big hug and kiss, but we're too far away. This will have to do.
XOXOXOXOXOXO
Love,
Auntie Jo and Donna Marie
P.S. Aimee, can you hug and kiss Aidan for us????

Aidan,
What's up little guy. I'm sure you will have no clue as to who I am, but you can ask your mom and dad.
I just received a link to this blogspot link from your dad today. It’s been nearly seven years since I’ve seen you and I must say that you have grown into a pretty good looking kid. The only drawback is that you have a little resemblance to your dad, but with luck, the girls will look past that. :)
I am saddened by the news revealed in this blog, however, by the pictures that are posted and the updates provided, I find comfort that you are doing well. From what I have read, you have an incredible support group, which I can tell you first hand, is better than a million dollars in the bank!
Get your rest, keep your spirits high and rest assure that you will be in our prayers.

Hi Aidan,
I'm one of your Atlanta cousins, I'm actually your great-great-grandfather Mike Maloof's younger brother John Maloof's granddaughter. Your great-grandma Dot was my granddad's niece, and your granddad Mickey is my granddad's grand-nephew. And your Auntie Jo is my granddad's niece too. I know it sounds very confusing ... but the main thing is, we are cousins! :-) My family and I send our best wishes, love and prayers to you and your parents so that you get well soon. You're a champ and we are all VERY proud of you!!!!!!! :-)
Hi Aidan,
I hope you remember me. I am your old neighbor and also mom to Dominic and Alana. You went to Montessori with Alana. B told me you were in the hospital.
You and I share a secret and you are on a journey to learn that secret. The secret is that cancer has gifts that come with it. The gift is that you will inspire others with how strong you are. You will give them hope when it seems you are the one who needs it. You will overcome your fear of ANYTHING! That's because no matter what happens, no one can take away your hope, love and faith. You will discover that those things are all we have and yours will grow stronger. You will learn just how wonderful people really think you are. Why didn't they tell us as much before?! You will learn that there are no bad days. People don't know a bad day like we do! I know these things because I am a cancer survivor too. I have chemo every other week.
I believe in miracles Aidan and I think you should too. I rely on them. The prayer team at my church is praying for you. Believe in the power of prayer. It has carried me through my cancer for the last two years.
Dominic and Alana say HI!
-your friend, Teri

Hi Aidan,
Although we have never met, I wanted to send you a little note. I am your Gramma Adele's neice from Canada. Don't worry about how we are related. Just go with you Papa Shaheen's description of me being your "Canadian cuz".
You look great on your blog picture and seem to be having lots of visitors. Unfortunately, I won't be able to see you until April when I go to visis Gramma Adele. Maybe we could could grab something chocolaty together.
I will definitely NOT be bringing my Husky, Nikki, with me though. He's the kind of dog that Eskimos use for sled races.... and sometimes he is more Ikki than Nikki, if you get my drift. In Canada, we do not use the word "Eskimo" any more. We say "Inuit" which means "the people" in Innuktattut, the language of these people. I work with 2 Inu Senators here.
You'll have to let me know if there is some kind of souvenir you would like me to bring you. I could send you PILES of snow, but I think it would all melt before it got there.
Anyway, buddy, you take care of yourself. Your guardian angel, you family and friends and all your Canadian cousins are rooting for you!
Keep been the brave guy that you are! This will keep you stong on the inside and the outside, and wise....
Write if you feel like having another blog pal.
Lots of love and good wishes are sent your way.
Cathy from Canada
Hi Aidan,
Just checking in today to see how you are doing. I like to read all about you.
I am very lucky, I get to see your Nana tonight and I have a picture for her to bring you. It is from my granddaughter Whitney. She is 2 years old and very sorry you are sick.
Today she made many pretty pictures at her art table and the whole time she was watching pictures of you on my computer. So thank you very much for keeping her company today. We hope you like the picture she drew just for you!
Here is my silly giggle of the day....
Question: What are prehistoric monsters called when they sleep?
Answer: A dinosnore!
Much love from Robin, Del....and Whitney of course!
Hey, Aidan,
Just finished checking in and reading the latest entry on your blog. This week has been a very crazy week for me since it's the last week of the semester. With Christmas coming, there's lots of singing, both by me and by my students. But there are very few moments when I'm not thinking of you! I can't wait to see you and make you laugh with cheerful fussing noises. Hang in there, Aidan. All the Methodists in La Jolla are praying for you!!
Lots of love,
Uncle Ronnie
Hi Aidan,
It's your cousin Mary again ... my husband Josh (who is your cousin by marriage!) wants to let you know that he is going to sign up to be a bone marrow donor. Hopefully it'll be a match!
Hello to Papa Shaheen!!! :-)
Love,
Hi Aidan,
It's Friday morning and I love Friday's! Yeah for the weekend!
I'm one of your mom's friends at work who happens to love lego's like you. What do you like best? Is there a particular lego set you want for Xmas so that I can ask Santa to bring you?
You are in my prayers today and everyday. I'm also praying for your mom for she is such a good person and we miss her smiles here at work Is there something that you'd like to make sure that Santa can bring her for Xmas? Please let us know.... I look forward to sending you pictures of us here at work and at school.
